ShyamKaushal’s son, Masan famed Vicky Kaushal is starring opposite Alia Bhatt in MeghnaGulzar’s next film created on HarinderSikka’s book Calling Sehmat.
After a successful movie, Talvar, based on a real-life double murder case, Meghna is now planning to make a film based on a book where the main character is a Kashmiri woman married to an army officer across the border who delivers invaluable information to Indian Intelligence during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The film is not about the wars and battle sequences but it revolves around the personal life of a girl who loves her family and country. Her emotional and psychological conflicts as a wife, spy, daughter, and patriot make the subject of the film.
The movie is about to release next month and will be jointly produced by Jungle Pictures and Dharma Productions.
About the Actors
Alia Bhatt is working for the first time with Vicky Kaushal who is an electronics and telecommunications engineer. Masan was a success and the actor, Vicky Kaushal, received a warm admiration by the public and media. The other films include Luv ShuvTe Chicken Khurana, Bombay Velvet, Zubaan, and Manmarziyaan. Now, the actor is working on Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanjay Dutt’s biopic.

Meghna Talking About the Film
Meghna said that she heard about the war but is not a direct spectator or victim of the hostilities. She knows that the after effects of the war as the people bear it. The story can be well-fitted in the present circumstances and it involves the extraordinary brawl of an ordinary girl. Though it involves tussle between India and Pakistan it does not feature the war actions but the deeds of the main lead who tries to emerge victorious out of her own psychological conflicts. The movie is based on the true story and so it attracts the audience to the theater.
She says that her father is her guiding spirit and he taught her everything. Once she completed her script, she would go for her father’s feedback and songs.
